Jerk-O-Meter

Josh and I stopped at Sonic for lunch one day, and were able to witness a terrible event. A man ordering from the Sonic menu CLAIMS this ordering sign above ripped his EXPENSIVE shirt. He pushed the order button, and eventually the manager came out and gave him a $45 gift certificate to Sonic. He even took a picture of the broken sign with his phone. Yes, this man hit a perfect 10 on the Jerk-O-Meter scale today.

P.S It kind of reminds me of the time when someone called Arctic Circle and complained due to them forgetting their tartar sauce for their halibut.
P.P.S Or the other fellow I know who complained to Papa John's about the slow delivery and received a free pizza.
P.P.P.S Or individuals who lack the energy to return their shopping carts to their designated areas. Really annoying, and lazy. I would rate this behavior as a 7 on the Jerk-O-Meter scale.

When I'm a mother.....

I was recently put in as a primary worker in my ward. I don't currently have children....but when I do, I'm going to give this list a try. Don't be offended readers....one day I will read this after I have children and will laugh at how utterly stupid I was.

1.) No child...you may not act like a zoo animal at church. SIT YOUR BOOTY DOWN!

2.) I've seen some very sad things as a nurse. All kiddos under my roof are getting vaccinated.

3.) I will not yell at my children in public places. It just looks bad to onlookers. Save it for home.

4.) Please please PLEASE.....never let me become a mother that counts. "You have until the count of three to stop hitting your sister." Let's be real, kids will wait until count 2.99 every time.

5.) I was spanked, even slapped sometimes. I still enjoy going home to see my parents. It must be somewhat effective then to teach good behavior.

6.) I'm thinking crayons and paper only at church. The entire toy box can stay at home.

7.) No saying "shut up". It's just plain mean.

8.) If you are under the age of 11...I don't want to see your face after 9:30 pm. Lights out. With the exception of New Year's, Christmas Eve...etc.etc.

9.) The hallway at church has become Chucky Cheese playpen lately. When I was growing up in was a place you never wanted to be taken. My kids will avoid it like the plague.

10.) My kids will share their toys.

11.) Kids who walk have an increased risk of getting kidnapped. I'm paranoid maybe but my kids will take the bus or I will drive them.

Hmmm....I can't think of anything else. I hope Josh likes my list. Happy Wednesday:)

Over the weekend

Welcome to my weekend of suck. It started by going to Walmart on Friday, all Husband and I wanted was some pink paint for a project I'm working on. The associate had the nerve to ask if we were expecting. NO! You retard, is that some kind of fat joke!!! On top of that I worked this weekend. For like 48 straight hours of awfulness. I watch my phone like I'm possessed, and stress when it's ringing, as well as when it is not. I AM TIRED! I now have 3 hours left of on-call before I pass the task on to another nurse. The bad news is I am on-call again tomorrow night. Bah Humbug. I think Josh is sick of my on-call weekend too, I am a meany to him when I have to work. At least he is sweet and brought me Mt. Dew and made dinner.

In my next life I will never have to work and I will simply eat doughnuts and watch love stories all day. On a more positive note I am leaving town this Wednesday for 6 beautiful days.

Utah Jazz

Unfortunately one of my readers reports that my blog is FAIRLY boring.

To my FAIRLY boring reader....this post is for you.

Thoughts on the Utah Jazz.
Since my infancy my family has watched this team, both in person and on TV. I do not particularly care for sports of any kind...but I have often wondered about the fans of this team. I remember watching little snippets here and there while reading my book. I remember watching my dad and brother scream at the TV and cheer at their success. However, if I'm to be completely honest...I feel like they are a team that disappoints. Again and again they try, but they fail every-time. No offense folks but it seems like you would all lead happier lives if you picked a different team to cheer for. Maybe one that wins. It certainly can't be fun repeating to yourself at the end of every season, "they will have a better year next year."

GO JAZZ!
that is it.
the end.

WHY READ?

Due to my lack of talent, interests or hobbies I have decided to spend my time creating this blog rather than sleeping. If your wondering whether to keep reading, or follow my blog eternally.... here are 20 reasons why I might relate to you.....

1.) I didn't get asked to my Senior prom. I like to think it's because boys were intimidated by my gorgeous acne filled face. Doubtful. My husband went to High school with me though...what does that tell you?!

2.) When driving I must sing loudly and proudly. I may not sound like Adele, but I sure do feel like I am her when I sing.

3.) I consume massive quantities of Costa Vida. I am their biggest fan.

4.) Cooking is like a foreign language to me. It's an accomplishment on my part if I can manage to not burn boxed pizza.

5.) I sleep with a blanket. For warmth, not because I'm a baby and scared of the dark.

6.) Big parties and loud people make me feel shy and uncomfortable.

7.) I love watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette. I feel sad inside when they don't pick the individual best suited for them. It's just tragic.

8.) Naps are the best. I need at least 5 a day in order to survive.

9.) I am a nurse.

10.) I was an average student. B's get degrees to you know.

11.) I'm not big into beauty products. I don't know what I would do without split ends....life would be dull.

12.) I don't mind pictures of animals, or animals at a distance....but I'm rather scared of them when they are too close to me.

13.) I don't bike, run, swim, or even walk quickly.

14.) Shopping is my favorite

15.) I play the piano. On an average level...like mostly hymns and nothing else.

16.) I feel too young for Relief Society

17.) When looking for a seat at any event I sit away from the people and secretly hope that someone will notice...and sit by me :)

18.) I am married. For one whole year as of May 25th.

19.) I get nervous when someone calls me on the phone.

20.) This blog is called the Golden years....because my last name is Goldsberry...get it? It's cute.

That is all.
The End.
